A deeply emotional tale about Sophie Duncan, a successful columnist whose world falls apart after her daughter’s unexpected illness and her husband’s shocking affair. When it seems nothing else could possibly go wrong, her car skids off an icy road and plunges into a frozen lake. There, in the cold dark depths of the water, a profound and extraordinary experience unlocks the surprising secrets from Sophie’s past, and teaches her what it means to truly live...and love.

Full of surprising twists and turns and a near-death experience that will leave you breathless, this story is not to be missed.

"A box of tissues should be included in the purchase price of this book.... I finished THE COLOR OF HEAVEN in a matter of hours, but I've no doubt the read and the lessons imparted through Sophie's story will stay with me... probably forever. THE COLOR OF HEAVEN is an incredibly poignant and unbelievably gripping novel, deserving Romance Junkies' highest rating."

Ce fut un privilège et un réel plaisir de lire ce livre. Il a été écrit avec finesse. L'auteure a réussi à intégrer des sujets difficiles et parfois tabou, et à en faire une histoire touchante et pleine de promesses. Merci.

I have read a lot of books since I could read but never have I ever written a review on one until lately. After reading The Colour of Heaven I just had to write and say how much I loved it. The form of storytelling is so very compelling. The characters seem so down to earth and very real that you wonder if it is based on a true story. The story of Sophie’s life was very endearing. I loved the idea of the intertwining of the characters. I highly recommend this story to all readers who love true to life characters. p.s. Love the fact that the author Julianne Maclean is from Canada

I loved every minute of reading this book and found myself so engaged in the story that I lost track of time and found suddenly that several hours had passed when I had only intended to spend a few minutes. I am looking forward to reading all of the books in this series.
