A psychopathic killer is stalking the women of Sydney… Federal Agent Clayton Munro, a criminal profiler with the Australian Federal Police (AFP), has been called upon to assist in hunting down a vicious murderer who is intent upon carving up his victims while they’re still alive. Guilt-stricken over his wife’s suicide, Clayton’s forced to leave behind his personal issues in order to focus on the case. Detective Ellie Cooper is also no stranger to heartache. Pregnant and abandoned at the altar by a fiancé intent on pursuing a career with the AFP, her opinion of the elite body of officers is anything but favorable. Angered when her boss orders her to partner with the Fed, she’s determined not to cut him any slack. But women are dying on the streets of western Sydney and the pressure is mounting to find the person responsible. Will Clayton and Ellie be able to set aside their animosity and work together to catch a killer before it’s too late? And what about the special fascination the killer seems to have with Ellie...

  • Good

    From Arpilin
    But too much romantic goo
  • Average

    From Scypio
The story starts strong and keeps you engaged, but it dilutes slowly to the point it gets boring towards the end. The final is forced and unrealistic. The coincidental meet in the taxi is plain silly.
  • My thoughts

    From 1 Old Guy
I truly enjoyed this book and was looking forward to reading more about Ellie. Now it seems like the series is not about her. Because of that, this will be the last book by Chris Taylor that I shall read. My rating will be at the bottom even though this book was fantastic.
  • Exciting ride

    From Leggs1974
This was the first book I've had the pleasure of reading. The plot unfolded, and the relationship between Ellie & Clayton sparked. I was pulling for them both. I am ready for the next book.

Interesting read. It does drag a little, but for a lazy day of relaxation, it is pretty good.

  • Couldn't Put It Down

I loved the book, can't wait to read the next in this series. It was well written, the characters were well developed and believable. So you should stop reading reviews and start reading this book.
  • Not my kind of story

    From Well I be
It is a romantic explicit sex story, disguised as detective!!'!!
  • Stop deceiving by calling these "mystery"

    From DaniTatie
It's romance/soft porn, disguised as a mystery novel. If I wanted this, I'd buy Harlequin. I'm just glad I didn't pay for this. Suspense? What suspense? It was predictable from page one
