As a neonatal nurse and mother, I was greatly impressed by this beautiful and educational book. Thank you to the families for sharing their stories to help spread awareness of the consequences of this deadly disease. The courage of the survivors is inspirational. As a nurse I've seen the tragic consequences of vaccine preventable illness. Thank you Anne Geddes for using your talent to spread the message that vaccines save lives!

Thanks to Anne Geddes we have been able to learn about meningococcal disease. Fabulous photography (as usual) with true heart. These young people are so brave & uncomplaining. It is with these tender, matter-of-a-fact images that many will have their eyes opened to see the need for vaccinations for their own children. Much in the news about those who advocate abstaining from vaccination has led to some reticence on the part of the uninformed. Thank you for informing us all.
