USA Today bestselling author Catherine Gayle presents the first novel in the Tulsa Thunderbirds hockey romance series, a spin-off from her popular Portland Storm series.

When dark desperation meets opportunity…

On a celebratory trip with his best friend, Ray “Razor” Chambers meets sultry Viktoriya Dubrovskaya and immediately recognizes the desperation in her eyes—a sight he remembers all too well. Permanently in survival mode, the destitute and broken Viktoriya makes him an offer—a proposition he immediately refuses. However, Razor’s counter-offer changes everything for her.

A ring.
A marriage.
A lifetime of opportunity.

But learning to live together as husband and wife is as foreign as interpreting Smoke Signals. And where there’s smoke, there’s usually fire.

  • Amazing Book!!

    From DGulliver
I received an ARC of Smoke Signals in exchange for an honest review. Before reading this book, I have to admit I was a bit skeptical on Razor having a story but I can honestly say that I was so thrilled that Catherine wrote this book the way she did. In the previous Portland Storm and Tulsa Thunderbirds books, Razor was always a bad boy and charming women, but he was always there for his teammates, friends and family. Razor and Tori faced incredible scenarios, whether it was her being a former porn star when they met and her trying to make Razor her John or when Razor's old teammate Koz started to cause trouble within the players and his team by telling everyone Tori was a porn star. They taught us to not judge a book by its cover and that everyone deserves to be loved, no matter their profession or background. The way Catherine showed growth with the characters was amazing, I think this might have been her best book yet within both series. She captured everything you could look for in a book and made it relevant to today's society. Razor is the perfect book boyfriend, along side Babs of course! I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone looking for a hockey romance! 100% 5 stars worthy!!!
  • Smoke Signals Book 2, Tulsa Thunderbirds

    From TManwell
Catherine Gayle has taken the story of a young Russian woman with a very traumatic past and written a story that leaves you cheering her on. Tori is so broken when she meets Razor that she can't even see the possibility of a happy future. Who knew that Razor was the patient, kind and loving man he is? Everything he does throughout this book for Tori and all that we learn about his relationship with his mother just makes a reader fall in love with him. Great story of adversity, pain, love and triumph!! On a side note I love how Catherine Gayle develops the minor relationships in her story. The relationship between Tori and Tallie was amazing to follow and gives the entire story that much more feeling.
